This 1968 Amperex JAN 7308 tube is a premium quality 6DJ8 / ECC88 made for the US military.
It has the following characteristics:
creases on the top of the bottle
- the New York factory code etched in the glass
- round shield with two raised rectangular sections on opposite sides
large O getter with wide support
green label label with the Amperex logo and reads "JAN 7308"
This tube tests as new. It has been screened for gas, heater-cathode leakage, shorts, and excessive noise and microphonics on each triode section.
It was tested at typical operating voltages on a laboratory grade
Amplitrex AT1000 (manual setting, fixed bias mode). Learn more about our

Noise and microphonics
This tube tests as "phono grade"--the quietest range for
noise and microphonics--on our custom noise testing equipment. It is an
excellent choice for phono stages, microphone preamps, DA converters, and other sensitive applications.

results for current draw (mA) and transconductance (Gm) for each triode
