Test Results
These tubes are screened for
gas, heater-cathode leakage, shorts, and excessive noise and
microphonics. They are tested at typical operating voltages on a
laboratory grade Amplitrex AT1000 (manual setting, fixed bias mode). Learn more about our testing process here.
Both tubes test as new and are matched for both current draw (mA) and transconductance (Gm). The test results for each tube are listed below.
Tube 1
Date code: 7847 Z (1978)
iP: 10.2 mA (102%) & 11.2 mA (112%)
Gm: 6400 (116%) & 6600 (120%)
Noise/microphonics: Quiet both sections
Tube 2
Date code: 7848 Z (1978)
iP: 10.2 mA (102%) & 10.4 mA (104%)
Gm: 6200 (112%) & 6400 (116%)
Noise/microphonics: Quiet both sections
Tube ships in new white boxes with test results for current draw (mA) and transconductance (Gm) for each section.
