These binding posts are much sturdier and nicer than the stuff typically available. The folks at James Audio really thought things through when designing these.

Some of the features that make these binding posts exceptional include:

A squared section locates the inner washer and keeps it from spinning. The inner washer has a tab on it that allows you to keep the washer (and therefore the whole post) from spinning if you use a small file to cut a notch in the hole that the post goes through. The end result is a very secure fit that will not spin when tightening or loosening the post to change speaker wires.
The hole for the wire is very generously sized and of course there is a provision for banana type connectors.
The gold plating is very high quality and durable.
A set screw secures the internal wiring to the post, which is a particularly nice feature if you are building a high power amplifier that requires larger gauge wire to the output jacks. The result is a very positive physical connection. Of course, you can solder it as well if you like.
The James Audio name is printed tactfully within the colored identification band.

These are sold individually with either a red or black band for identification.
