 It's hard to beat the quality and cost of James transformers for your SET tube amplifier projects--if you can find them!
If you are building a lower wattage single ended amplifier, the JS-6112HS gives you the ability to cover tubes that can run at 2.5k, 3.5K or 5k (using the 2.5k connection with an 8 ohm speaker on the 4 ohm lug). This includes 71a types, 45 types, 2A3, 6V6, 6BQ5, and others. All of these tube types would be well under the 10 watt rating of this fine transformer.
The folks who make these used to make Tango transformers which gives you an idea of the quality to expect.

Good highs, smooth lows, detailed vocals + low price & good service!

I had this output transformer for my 2A3 amplifier. I am not a professional audiophile but I consider myself of a critical music listener and I have to say that these transformers sound great. They have good highs and smooth lows. I listened to vocals and I could hear the details. Very crisp sound - I love it. I could recommend this output transformer to anyone who loves great sound. I also want to thank tctubes for carrying this product. Their price was the lowest I could find and I had experienced good service. I received the merchandise in good condition and at a very short time. If I have to make a higher wattage tube amp, I would like to use the JH-6123HS. Thanks tctubes!

You simply cannot go wrong with this little jem. Impeccable workmanship and sonics. I am using it with an EL84 amp as an upgrade and the improvement is better than any other tweaks I made. The 3.5k and 5k secondary are handy allowing future flexibility when the DIY bug hits again. Thanks for brilliant service for my overseas order Tyler!

I chose to use these output transformers in an SRPP SET 2A3 amplifier I built a few years ago, and have never looked back! Fit and finish is excellent, and the sound is wonderful. I really don't think you can beat these for the money.
When my source for James iron closed shop over a year ago, I was really disappointed. Then tctubes started selling them and I snapped up another pair immediately! (Nice that they're local to me, too!)
The new pair will be used in a pair of ultralinear SEP 6BQ5 monoblock amplifiers that are in the works. Can't wait to hear the results!
