New Production Power Tubes
 In order to get an accurate match for new production power tubes, it's important to be sure that:
- The tubes have been burned in for 48 hours--After performing thorough tests before and after burn in, we have found that the change in readings for gas, emissions, and transconductance was significant enough to require a 48 hour burn-in period for accurate matching.
- The tubes are matched to within 10% emissions (mA) and 5% transconductance (gm). In fact, we are almost always able to match new production tubes to within 1-4% on both scales. This takes more time on our part, but we feel the benefits are worth it.
All new production power tubes we offer are burned in for 48 hours and then tested to get the most precise matches for both emissions and transconductance. Please be aware that most vendors do not go to these lengths to assure tight matches for both mA and gm. Many simply run tubes for a while in a Maxi-matcher, match according to mA and call it done. If you want the most out of your amp be sure the vendor you buy from tests thoroughly!
