This 1970s Tungsram E80CC tube is a special quality 6085 type. It has a tall bottle with gray plates. The red print on the glass has the Tungsram logo.
This
tube type was designed with a 10,000 hour heater life and resistance to
shock and vibration. It can be used as a substitute for a 12AU7A in
most circuits, if you have room for the extra height (they're about 68mm
tall excluding the base pins).
Tube tests as new with balanced sections and very low noise. It has been screened for gas, heater-cathode leakage, shorts, and excessive noise and microphonics on each triode section. It was tested at typical operating voltages on a laboratory grade
Amplitrex AT1000 (manual setting, fixed bias mode). Learn more about our
